Often described as clownish, it is playful, affectionate, and fairly energetic. Frenchie’s enjoy relaxing as much as playing and are ideal for the elderly. The breed is also good for children, as long as they understand the dog’s limited ability to tolerate excessive heat or exercise.

French Bulldog Exercise
Exercise: French bulldogs need 30–60 minutes of exercise per day, which can include short walks, playtime, or interactive games. You can split this exercise into two shorter walks to keep your dog mentally stimulated. Avoid exercising your dog during the hottest parts of the day, as they are a brachycephalic breed with short muzzles that can make it difficult for them to breathe.

While French Bulldogs don’t shed as much as other breeds, you may still find hair around your home, especially as the summer months approach and you should be prepared for some hands-on cleaning and grooming rituals.
